The art of dreaming

Dream Work is essentially about personal empowerment. It gives you the opportunity to get to the bottom of the symbols and metaphors of your dreams. It enlarges your awareness and connects you with your inner wisdom.
Understanding your dreams brings you closer to understanding all parts of yourself.

The Art of Dreaming offers 4 different concepts. Three of them are group related and the last one consists of individual dream sessions. The concepts are Dream Workshop, Dream Groups, Dream Theatre and Dream Therapy.

The dream topics are the same in all four concepts. The difference lies in how deep we dive into them and the tools we use to obtain dream knowledge.

Dream workshop level one

Dream Workshop (Level 1)

This is a 2.5 hour group workshop that takes place once a week for 5 weeks. You’ll experience an overall understanding of the basics of dream messages and how to relate to them. You will perfectly fit in if you are interested in your dreams but never profoundly worked with them. If you are intrigued by your dreams, wonder about their elements and ready for some internal work, than this workshop is perfect for you.

You’ll receive all the information in a dynamic way, by sharing and using specific dream exercises. This experience will expand your awareness by integrating a basic knowledge of dreams and their meanings. As we dive into our unconscious minds, these gatherings are intimate and therapeutic.

Dream Group (Level 2)

Dream groups are for dreamers who already participated in a level 1 workshop or have done basic dream work in any other way. These dream groups are open, meaning that participants may come and go. There is no long-term commitment. We meet biweekly for 2 hours concentrating on one specific topic only.  In the dream groups, we explore every theme more in depth compared to level 1.

Dream theatre

Dream Theatre is a combination of dream groups  and psychodrama. In other words, we explore our dreams by using psychodramatic tools. Psychodrama helps us explore our inner world by doing, playing, using role reversal and exporting our inner world on stage.

First we share the dream, then we work with it psychodramatically. Dream Theatre takes place on specific dates and hours. It is a closed therapy group that undergoes a profound therapeutic group process. It takes place once a week for 3 to 6 months.

Dream Therapy (Individual)

The Art of Dreaming also offers one-on-one dream psychotherapy. During these sessions, we explore and analyse your dreams together in order to expand your consciousness.  No need to have attended any workshop prior to these individual sessions.

Some Topics of Dream Therapy

Metaphors

We’ll explore the language of our dreams and integrate the meaning of personal and collective unconsciousness.

Transportation

We analyse the different modes of transportation in our dreams such as cars, planes, busses and bicycles.

Colours

You’ll learn to understand colours and dream emotions. We’ll reflect on how our waking lives transport elements into our dreams to make a point.

Structure & Architecture

We'll dig into the meaning of houses and their parts and understand different dream settings.

Characters

We will dive deep into the meaning of dream characters, those we know in real life and those we don’t. This will help us meet and accept our shadow parts.

Nightmares

The understanding of nightmares, death and recurrent dreams are essential topics for the basic understanding of our dreams.

The Art of Dreaming in Group

Dream Workshops, Dream Groups and Dream Theatre are three concepts that happen with multiple participants at the same time, in a group setting. This means that we will always share our dreams and receive feedback from others through the acquired tools. For this specific sharing process, we mainly use the Ullman method. You can read more about it here.

As a therapist, I strongly believe in the power of the group. Bringing people together creates something bigger than the individual. The group will help you analyse your dreams with respect, because in the end it is you, and only you who will interpret your own dream. We always honour the dreamer’s dream.
